Puerto Rican

Among entrepreneurs: What now? The other day I had the opportunity of sharing with a Puerto Rican entrepreneur who has spent 6 years with its business, which is both his personal passion. . Unfortunately after a lot of work, effort and with good management, the business still does money to receive a salary but if covers all the costs of the business. In the process it has lost the passion and it was costing a lot emotional work to rid business and the feeling of thinking that it had failed. When we are entrepreneurs, we will face the normal and abnormal curves of every business that goes by at one time or another. In these difficult times that we are now facing where the amount of external effects which we do not control increase (the war, the unemployment, the decrease in demand, among others) and if you add that these same problems are affecting all markets, things become very unknown to many.

We agree with comment that we don’t feel that there is a network support where to get the tools when businesses going bad. What else do and when I say up here? It spends much time in helping to establish businesses and in being an entrepreneur but not much time is dedicated to give the follow-up to those businesses developing, nor directs us to perform the analysis, to study the alternatives, and to receive guidance on the implementation of a prevention plan, before things go wrong. In the case of us women also have the need to share the emotional side with others who have gone and are going through the same as us and help us support. This conversation made me think a lot. Sometimes it is an inspiration remind that man has gone and will continue going through difficult times. There was time of war and famine and for many still suffer it in the world, but history repeats itself that hard times are used to boost the industries, the ideas and the creativity of the people. Also their inventiveness. Countries like Singapore, that a time spent by extremely uncertain times, they recovered to reach impressive competitive positions.

I think one of the lessons we need to learn in these times is know to deal with difficulties. I remembered my client a business which does not reflect losses and has few debts in these times is not very normal and that is considered positive. We discuss options: sell the business, liquidate inventory, reducing costs of commercial space, charge for their service of advice in your area of expertise etc. I reminded him that it is sometimes wise to say so far. But also, those businesses that decide to make the necessary changes, can leave robustecidos and better prepared to continue competing and growing in these times.
